Hi,
I have consult with Dr. Natale December 11 in Marin, CA (he comes to CA once a month). I have had AFib for almost 5 years. It was kept in check for the last two years with medicine and a ICD. This year I started being in AFib more and more -- getting more and more shocks. Starting the first of Oct. it really went downhill. We have tried cardioversion a couple of times. I was in the hospital to try Tikosyn --the carioversion after I loaded up on Tikosyn did not work. I have tried amiodarone and betapace also.
My specialist thinks PVA is the way to go now. I am in AFib all the time and am developing congestive heart failure. I hear it takes several months to get on the list for a PVA at the CC. How long did you have to wait for the operation? I am wondering if I will have to wait 6 or 8 months.
