Hello Tom, and welcome to the board. I can understand the hesitation on your part about the Maze. It is something a person should be thoroughly convinced that it is the right treatment for them. I wouldn't tell you it is the correct thing for you to do, but I will tell you it was the correct thing for me to do. I did put it off for 5 years after my cardiologist first suggested it, but after I had it done, I wish I would of done it a little earlier.
I personally don't think a easier fix, with the cure rate of the maze is on the horizon. They are making advances in cryo ablations, but they are not there yet.
Maze recovery varies in time depending on the type of maze you have. Also I feel that the time it takes for a cure varies, depending on the type. Some of the members will probably not agree with me on all this, but this is what it is all about. Read what they all say, and look into all the information you can come up with, and be a informed patient.
