Some more maze questions

Firstly, I want to thank George, Ed, Carl, David, Patti, and Mike for being so kind and gracious in answering all of my questions. I know you folks have been there and know what I am going through. I have one more question for today. I am about sixty pounds over weight. Should I put off the surgery until I lose the weight? I am in relatively good shape despite the weight and being in a-fib. I swim a half mile every morning, although it's a slow half mile. I was reading your posts and I am very worried about the kind of shape I will be in the first week after the surgery. Is it better to get if over with and to do it in April or should I take off the weight and do it a year later? Thanks. Jim Matthews
