Well, here goes nothing.....I have decided to go to the Cleveland Clinic in April for an evaluation and possible Maze procedure. Any words of wisdom for those of you who have proceeded me would be appreciated. I have to admit, there are days I wake up and feel like chickening out. I have been in a-fib for six years and hate the meds and overall feeling of running on six cylinders instead of eight. I do have a question for those of you who are up on PVI which may also be an option for me. Is the procedure done with radio frequency RF (heat?)at Cleveland Clinic? A friend of mine told me about a company called cryocor which can be found on the Web at cryocor.com This company has come out with a machine that performs the PVI with cryo or "cold". They claim there is less pulmonary vein stenosis, clots, and stroke with this new cryoablation procedure. Is the Cleveland Clinic using this new technology or the RF technology? Thanks Jim Matthews
