Jim, the criteria for Maze patients is posted on the CC webpage. I had lone afib. I had no other heart problems. I also was not in chronic afib nor had I tried and failed anti-arrhythmia drug therapy. Therefore, I was told to wait until I was in chronic afib before having a Maze. The threshold for having a PVI was not so high, so I was decided to go for it. It worked for me.
