Mike,
I share your sentiments of Dr. Cox. When I went to Georgetown to meet with Dr. Cox after his looking at my medical records and answering some of his questions he said, "I am thinking how I would advise you if you were my brother (we were about the same age) and I think you should have the MAZE surgery". He gave as much thought to my case as if I were his brother. This was very impressive. My insurance company wanted me to have the MAZE at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston because it was in their network. My visit with Dr. Cox gave me the assurance I needed to proceed with this surgery. Now A-FIB and drug FREE for over three years.
