Lack of exercise

Almost 11 months since my maze procedure and mytral valve repair. Have been feeling great-NSR. 5 weeks ago, I fell down some stairs and fractured my ankle in 2 places. Had to have surgery. Have been in a non-weight bearing cast and have not exercised at all. I am concerned about loss of conditioning and the effect on my heart.
