Bruce: It's nice to read of your success. I can relate to the injury, having broken my foot at 11 months post maze. I did very little for 6 months thereafter, but at 7 months ran up 42 flights of stairs in celebration of feeling so good about being in continuous NSR. I am still aware of it (the break, not the stair run) when I play tennis or walk on an uneven surface. You can still get some aerobic exercise on a stationary bike (even with just one leg, which is a training drill some bikers have used) or by doing some upper body workouts with something like a Bowflex or similar. I wouldn't worry too much about the loss of conditioning having too much effect on your heart. Being in NSR is better for your heart than being in afib, any day!
