Pam, Have you tried breaking the atenolol in half or even quarters? In the past when I needed to take atenolol I too felt real tired taking a whole pill (.25 mg) at one time. When I was reducing the amount I got to the point when all I needed was 1/4 of a pill and then took another 1/4 if needed. It seemed to help me when I spread out the dosage over a 24 hour period.
