As a regular reader of this site, I want to add some information that could be useful to other visitors of this site. I am considering ablation for October in Houston. The cardiologists are Dr. John J. Seger, whom I have seen for three years, and Dr. Jai Cheng, a nationally known guru of catheter procedures for arrhythmias who has recently moved to Houston from Michigan and joined the practice with Dr. Seger. Dr. Cheng has performed thousands of catheter-ablation procedures. They operate in the world-renowned Saint Luke's Heart Center of the Texas Medical Center, Houston, TX. Dr. Cheng will perform the procedure. I asked them each if the ablation procedure that Dr. Cheng performs is just as cutting edge as the procedures performed at the University of Pennsylvania or the Cleveland Clinic. I was satisfied with their answers during lengthy consultations in which I asked every question I could think of and raised every concern I am aware of. I will keep you posted.
