Hi there A-fib people! I have been reading this site for quite a while and I finally decided to take the plunge and send a message into cyberspace. I have had occasional a-fib since childhood but it only started to give me serious problems about 5 years ago in my mid-fifties. All the a-fib meds made it worse rather than help, except verapamil, which lessens the a-fib a little. I had two unsuccessful pulmonary veins ablations in 99 and I am about to have another one with the newer methods at Virginia Mason in Seattle. I will have to be on anti-coagulant for 2 months afterwards but I cannot tolerate wafarin as it gives me migraines. My cardio. is exploring the possibility of a combination persantine-aspirin. Has anyone had experience with this? Has anyone had experience with migraines from coumadin? Do they go away over time if one keeps on taking it?
Thanks for any info. you could give me.
