Hi-
I have a history of severe migraines. I am currently on Lovenox, which is an injection that is given 2x/day. It is similar to the needle used to give insulin with, so it is quite small. The shots go in your belly only and are really painless. I have had no side effects and it is not necessary to monitor blood work with this drug! I do not know if this would be an option for you, but I thought I would offer this info.
Good Luck-Kristine
