My husband, Dave, had the Open heart , Maze procedure on March 30. So...that puts us at about 13 days ago. He has been doing so well. Before today, he had 1 AFib episode 5 days ago. Today, though, he's been bouncing out and in all day. Actually, he's gone into AFib 4 or 5 times today. As you can imagine, that's really disconcerting even though the doctors forewarned us that this can happen. We had just gotten use to the steady beat of a sinus rhythm.
Has anyone else had this happen? Any ideas what brings it on? Does this necessarily mean we will have to go on drugs to correct? As I write this one of these 'episodes' it's driving him nuts as I'm sure you can all relate.
