I had the Maze done at Mayo in Rochester on March 1 and I returned to Iowa City on March 7, I am happy to say I am in nsr and have only had a few strange beats. I also am very happy that after four years I am no

longer on amiodarone, just asprin and that makes me very very happy. Since I have gotten back I have had a problem with coughing, making sleep next to impossible, has anyone else had this problem? Today is better but still is a concern. What ever discomfort I have is caused by the coughing. I want to again thank this board for all the information you have provided, the decission to do the Maze is individule but one that I am so glad I made and that it is behind. I can now put my energy to getting rid of the cough and getting strong. Oh and the pain I worried about just didnt happen.
