Vivian the reason I chose the Maze was that I was tiried of feeling crapy. Also I had been on amiodarone for four years, I didnt like its effects and it didnt stop the a-fib. My cardio sent me to a EP to talk about a pacemaker. He gave me all the options and I felt the Maze offered the only cure. I researched it and found this group. I liked the information because it was from a-fibbers. I am 60 years old and and want to have a better time ahead then the last four plus years. Earlier a-fib didnt effect me much I could ignor it. My head feels clearer and I have taken charge of my condition. Do what is right for you. I said to my EP may be I am not that bad and he said only you know that. I will remember to thank him for that when I am in to see him.
