Bruce: You can "click" on Maze Surgeons at the top of the web page and find a number, but not all of the surgeons doing the maze III procedure.
You may have noticed from reading past posts, Dr. Cox is no longer doing surgery, but he certainly takes an active interest in teaching it to an ever-increasing # of surgeons.
You may have also noticed that this page sometimes may appear to be a Cleveland Clinic maze alumni group, being that so many of us have gone there. It IS big, some people may find it overwhelming and factory-like, but they have done the most, approaching 300 now. I don't believe they have lost a maze only patient and may not even have lost any patients with multiple procedures. My maze was done there in Jan,01:totally successful.
If I had been given a choice (and had I lived in CA), I might have opted for Dr. Millar, at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, who I believe has done over 150 maze procedures. Descriptions of him and the facility make it sound a little more personal than the CC.
Dr. Barnes in Boise also seems to have a good record.

There are others who sound great: Dr. Geiss in Peoria,IL, did Jack's maze, and sounds like a prince if you can believe Jack, which I DO!

Do some homework, contact some of them, send whatever records, echo tapes, etc. they request, and evaluate what each recommends. Then, follow your heart (pun intended) and go with what is comfortable to you.
