Hi Everyone, I am up to posting my progress.
To me, it has been somewhat of a roller coaster. Similar experiences comments appreciated. Attached is a summary of my experiences. They may not be medically correct, but are the best recollection I have.

Day 1, Fri - Mini Maze preformed by Dr. McCarthy on Friday afternoon. Operation successful and awoke to by beautiful wife. I was on a pacer in ICU.

Day 2, Sat. - Moved from ICU to Room about noon on Sat. I was removed from pacer and went into AFIB. Was placed on Rhythmol (150mg/3x daily) and beta blocker. Converted to NSR.

Day 3, Sun. - Went back into AFIB and remained there for a better part of the day. Remained on Rhythmol (150 3x) and given additional beta blocker. Converted to NSR towards evening.

Day 4, Mon. - Remained in NSR all day. Monday evening experienced lots of fluid retention.

Day 5, Tues. - Have been in and out of rhythym all day. Have recently been increased to 225mg Rhythmol 3x daily and have iron supplements for low blood count. Went off pain pills to Vioxx and Tynlonol (sp).

Again, This is my recollection of what has transpired. I have been constantly discussing my progress with Dr. Hammer, Dr. Mills and Dr. McCarthy's staffs.

I did get to meet Sheena this afternoon and she looks absolutely wonderful and is very upbeat. Also, Ossi Nassar has stopped by every morning on his way to rehab class. He looks better and better every day. I am dissappointed that I am not in NSR w/o meds (like Ossi) but realize that all cases and bodies are different. I sure would appreciate any similar experiences.

I again want to thank all of who input on the baord. I will try and post more frequently but I have not felt up to it because of my preceived roller coaster.

Jim
