Informing about possible /temporary/ setbacks adds to the objectivity of this board I think, which is good! Statistics is, by nature, a tricky business. I'm fairly sure that different frameworks and criteria are used when producing statistics, sometimes yielding an unreliable result.
To follow up on an earlier posting about the poor post op information available on what happens in the long run: when I returned from a week of cross-country skiing, I found a letter from the chief surgeon at the Huddinge University Hospital (one of three hospitals performing the Maze here in Sweden). They're currently performing a survey on the long term effects of the Maze!! I wonder if someone read my new year's reflection..hmm...:-)...
