Tim I had my Maze April 10, 98 and I started this message board last year to try to follow the mazers so we can know what the long term effects are, and to also make information available to people looking for a cure. I have corresponded with a few mazers that had their procedure prior to mine, but I am not a good record keeper, and didn't keep a list with dates of surgeries. I'm sure there is no data base to go to that will give you a overall view of all the past mazers and what their status is now. The individual surgeons do some follow ups, as do some of the hospitals. Some of the information is accessible under the Articles and Studies section at the top of the page.
A few of the early surgeries had less than the desired outcome, but I know of no one who was cured by the Maze and years later developed any ill effects from the procedure.
