I have to agree with John. I didn't drive until 6 weeks, even though I THOUGHT I could easily drive. Rather than endure "I told you so" remarks from my wife, I followed my EP's instructions, which was difficult, because I didn't like sitting in the back seat, and my wife couldn't STAND my comments about her driving.
I was really surprised at how much I felt the simple action of turning the steering wheel of my car. Even after six weeks, and then several days more, I did not think I would be up to par if I had to do any emergency manuvers. I had the open chest routine, so driving might come a little quicker for the "mini" maze recipients.
