Staples and neck pain

Jack mentioned that having the staples removed from his sternum relieved neck pain he was having. How many others have had neck/shoulder pain and how many have had staples removed?
I haven't discussed it with my doctor yet and hadn't even considered it until Jack Drum mentioned something. I have had and continue to have neck and should pain since the surgery.
