I want to thank everyone for the prayers for Michael and Dave.
I just finished talking to Michael Wells, and he sounded a little weak, but said everything went well with the surgery. Said something about seeing a MACK truck. He said to send his thanks to all on the board.
And I just received the following E-mail from Jan Funderburg.
He wanted me to let you know he came through the surgery like a champ. He was in surgery at Mission St Joseph's in Asheville NC. Dr. Burton did the surgery and did a marvelous job. He went in at 730a and came out at 210p Tuesday Aug 21. They bypassed one artery with another artery in his chest. They repaired the mitral valve and did the Maze procedure. The valve began leaking again while he was still in surgery so they did a second repair and it worked like a charm. He ws in ICU until 215p today because of
a slight increase in bleeding. But he walked to his room today and now we are on the road to recovery. Keep us in your prayers for a speedy recovery!!! This place and this surgeon is great!
