The time spent in hospital post-op seemingly varies. Here in Sweden, the time spent in hospital tend to be longer - from what I've gathered reading various posts in the past on the board. From what I've come to understand, the type of Maze, minimally invasive or open heart, is also a factor. I myself spent 10 days in hospital, which - for me - felt just right. I too was given a "heart-boost" in the form of a pacemaker, but that was removed after 5 (or possibly 6) days. My advice, for all it's worth, would be to demand better answers of your cardiologist. No one should have to feel frustrated. However well grounded any given decision might be, the client should expect good information to explain the taken action. I lack the knowledge to explain your difficulties, but to me, having been released from hospital after just two days sounds really peculiar, especially when suffering from a fever. Again - demand answers! Good luck with your cont'd recuperation.
Best regards,
Anders
