Hi guys!

Tom and I just got home from Shreveport tonight, some consulting and some, prostate ca research in Louisianna.

Since his ca is advanced, we've been immersed in this subject, disreguarding everything else in life!! However, we are both feeling so much better since we made a final decision yesterday as to Tom's treatment, and where to go.

This meant burning some bridges with some very good doctors, who, while excellent, were hard headed, ego driven, intrenched in their opinions and we consequently felt like we were caught in a pissing match between them for awhile.

We've found a prostate Cancer Clinic in Sarasota, Fla, that is about the only ones who will treat Tom; locally/external radiation and seed implants, plus systemically (for escaped cancer cells), with hormone therapy.

PC treatment is still in early stages, and researchers are argueing with each other, confusing the poor patient, while they scrap for funding to promote their views!! The politics are mind boggling!!

Hey Carl...where do you live in Fla.?? We will be staying in a condo in Punta Gorda, probably from sometime the end of April, until maybe July-ish. Anyone else there, from here?

I am feeling better, and we will be busy, getting things done around NWArk, to close up our home, while Tom begins his hormone meds next week. We have FINALLY got a glimmer of hope.

So this post is on THE subject of Afib, I'll just say that stress like this, has made my heart run a but fast lately...85-90bpm, when it's usually 70's. I've had some 120bpm that lasted half a day, at the worse, and half an hour, at the best. When it's in that 120 range, I feel awfull, but it's NOT irregular, nor is it Afibbing (I don't think).

What it feels like is anxiety attacks! Panic attacks! I'm not able to handle much noise or confusion right now, without the old heart kicking up! I've learned some calming "tricks" from my psycho-counselor which actually seem to work, and I can get over the episode....go figure?

See Nancy...some of us just blurt out the truth, no matter how it is?? Gotta' get to bed.

Love you guys,

Sarah
