Dave, I was still on the ventilator when I was starting to come around, so my wife told me. It was the following morning when I started remembering things and the ventilator was gone. I am thankful that I didn't remember that thing, as I don't think I would of liked it much. I was just going on what my wife told me. I guess when she come in the first time, I didn't look all that great.
I think everyone has the chest tubes for a time, and I don't remember if it was the first or second day after surgery when they were removed. It would all be on a individual basis I think.
Roger had his surgery Wed. and they took his tubes out on Sat. The first time I called him, no one answered the phone, and he said the doctor was in the process of thaking them out when I first called.
