Al: You are probably ahead of or certainly on schedule as far as "progress" is concerned.
Is this pacer wire from a previously implanted pacer, or the wires they install as a "precaution" during the maze, in the event a pacer is needed post-maze? If you are in NSR, or at least without afib, I am curious as to why they feel the need to re-install this wire.
Sorry to hear the food has not been up to par. I thought almost all of it was pretty good, and waaaay better than other hospital food I have experienced. I was especially fond of the fresh fruit option, and always ordered 2 servings or more for each meal.
When you get ready to leave, alert your airline that you will need a wheelchair. Even though you might feel great by Wed/Thurs, you will welcome the chair ride out to the concourse at the airport. Besides, you get to board the plane ahead of the pushers and shovers.
Keep updating us on your progress. It sounds as though you are on your way to a new life.
