I just wanted to say "hi" on my "5th new birthday" - five years today since my Maze in Stockholm, Sweden. Still doing just fine - no glitches, no problems whatsoever. In fact - I'm excercising even more vigourosly today than I've done for many years, partly due to the fact that my kids have started with athletics too...Being able to out go for a run with your 11-year old (without having to worry about anything more than just keeping up with him) is great. Running with the 9-year old going alongside on his bike is equally rewarding. This summer I'm looking forward to running the Stockholm marathon (running somewhat involuntarily though; the reason for my running being that I lost a bet with one of my collegues :-)). All of this of course wouldn't have been possible without the skills of Dr. Cox, my surgeon Dr. Bengtsson, and all the wonderful staff at the Huddinge hospital of course. Yes - even though the memories of Afib are slowly fading, I'm still so much grateful for having had the chance to get well. I wish all of you out there, future and post Mazers, the very best.
Take care / best regards,
Anders Kingstedt, Stockholm, Sweden
