Glenn,
I see you have decided on the PVA and not MAZE. You say you are scared. All of us have had some fear before these heart procedures. You would have to be without sense not to.
Before my surgery God gave me a real sense of peace that this was the right course for me and a real calm settled over me.
Peace and a feeling of calm come from knowing you are doing the right and necessary thing for your health and well being and also knowing you are placing yourself in the most competent medical hands possible. Then allow yourself to rest in the hands of the God that created you in the first place.
