All three pacemaker implants I asked for and they placed a urinal between my legs for emergencies. Even though I was sedated I used the thing and didn't know it. I also had not had any food or liquid for the preceding 15 hours. Of course there wasn't the requirement for not moving after ablations either. It was precautionary to keep from causing such a mess.
