It depends on if it is Atrial flutter, or Ventricular flutter. (Ventricular is LOTS worse, and you'd probably know it, by the very fast,sometimes un-countable BPM, and being taken to his knees).
I had A-flutter ablated at CC. It is often found on the right atrium, lower part. It often appears after Afib is cured. It's more dangerous than Afib. Hope he gets it taken care of. Assuming that's what he's got.
