Roger I am sure you have reached the correct decision. After 40 months post op, I know it was the correct one for me. My surgery was April 98, when I was 64. I was in the similar frame of mind as you, when I was getting ready for the surgery. I just didn't have the advantage of the computer then and the message boards. I didn't get my PC until Oct. 98, and I started the Maze Alumni board last Sept. I had been to the hospital library, and read up on the maze and did as much research on my surgeon as I could. I also had many people praying for me, and I felt very much at ease, with only the thoughts of a full cure going in, and that is what I came out with.
