Ditto for me. I was working on setting up an appointment with CC for consultation and probably PVA(Pulmonary Vein Ablation/Isolation)for the increasingly debilitating AFib I was experiencing.
The heart decatherization performed by my local EP showed severe mitral valve regurgitation in addition to AFib. Then I had an Echo and a TEE. The EP sent all my records to CC; my appointment was moved up. I went to CC for three days of consultation and testing immediately prior to my surgery. They conducted another Echo, no catherization nor TEE and had me see an Endocronologist because I am hypothyroid.
As expressed many times on this board, I am grateful I had the full maze with the mitral valve repair. So far so good with my recovery. I would gladly trade a trip to Cleveland and six weeks of recovery for NSR and no meds any time!
