Craig,

Sarah and I are both veterans of the PVI Ablation. They call it the Pulmonary Vein Isolation Ablation because the errant electrical impulses often begin on tongues of heart muscle that protrude inside the pulmonary veins at the point they enter the left atrium. Electrically isolate those veins and you solve the problem, most of the time. Perhaps as important or more important than just what type of ablation is where you go to have it done. The ablations require lots of skill and experience. There are potential complications of the procedure and you will want to be in a world class heart hospital where they can take care of you, if any complications arise. CCF is a very good bet. I went there and am glad I did. Jai Cheng in Houston has performed hundreds of ablations with a low complication rate.

Bill
