Barb, I got shingles 5 months following a mitral valve repair and maze and I can only agree with you--they are absolutely miserable. Rarely had I felt so terrible. I feel so sorry that you have this new issue to try you and I sincerely hope they pass soon. Like the others who have replied to your post, I hope you will get in touch with the Cleveland Clinic very soon. You may be just a touch up away from enjoying NRS and being drug free. Please keep us postd and keep hopeful.
