Carl, yes I was down to just taking cardizem for my higher heart rate. Then the others were introduced when my heart rate went from 80 to 120. The atenolol (25 mg in the evening) brought the rate down. The other meds didn't seem to affect it at all. I will ask if I can stop taking the cardizem and lanoxin since they didn't seem to change anything. You all may be right that I need a touchup. I don't know yet. Right now I feel pretty good, but if the afib returns and becomes the affliction it was before my surgery I will pursue further treatment at the CC. Thanks for your insight.
