I had the MAZE procedure none by Dr. Duncan at the Texas Heart Institute (St. Lukes) in Houston, TX two years ago. Great doctor and hospital. You will feel very secure there for this type of operation. It cured my A-Fib. After three months I was able to do anything I wanted to do. This operation does not cure pvcs (feeling of skipped beats). After almost two years, however, they have subsided quite a bit. Dr. Duncan wanted me to see Dr. Ali Massumi before agreeing to do the operation. He is professor of medicine at Baylor clinical and interventional electrophysiology and cardiology and works at the Texas Heart Institute. His phone number is 713-529-5530. I cannot say enough good things about him. You will be impressed. Hope this is helpful information to you. Best wishes, John W. Gross
