Carl, I have had similar experiences. After intense exercise I have at times gone into sinus tachycardia (120 bpm) while resting. If my heart rate stays high (90 bpm or higher) I take a low dosage of atenolol and one hour later my heart rate drops to 70 bpm and then to my normal 60 bpm resting heart rate. I also can experience pvcs with intense exercise (130 bpm or higher). I had pvcs before my MAZE two years ago. They were quite frequent for the first year after surgery. I think Steve is right on saying it takes two years to enjoy complete recovery. It will be two years in Sept. John Gross
