I think you may be confused. Dr. Cox, I believe, trained at Duke, came to Washington UNiversity in St. Louis in the early eighties where he and otheres did the cardiac mapping studies that formed the basis of the maze, first did it in humans in the late eighties and Barnes Hospital, then went to become chief of CT sugery at Georgetown in 1997-1998. He retired from daily surgery and as CT chief at Georgetown in late 1999
