You are right, we never had all the answers answered, or contingencies made, before taking the leap. When my friend Pat and I met at the hospital (in Afib) and found this board, she went Maze, and I went Ablation.
Neither one of us were SURE of anything, but that we weren't going to put up with the AF Devil any longer, come hell or high water!!! Who knows, someday, years from now, she and I may switch places, but in the mean time I try to promote other AF sufferers to get the best possible doctor, and get "it" done. These months of being AF free, and especially medication free have been just "out of sight"!
No Joel, life just keeps changing so fast, especially in the medical world, that feeling completely sure is impossible.
