Joel, I am right behind you. I had a maze/mitral valve repair in May. Am in NSR and off the Beta Blockers. Cannot believe the energy and stamina I have. I share your joy and gratitude.

I agree with you that probably most of the posts on this site are from those that are still having problems except for a few of us die-hards. I will continue to check in with this board and post to be of support to those who are still suffering from AFib or who are post-op.

I don't know if I would have had the courage to choose a maze. However, the necessity for a mitral valve repair made the choice for me. Now, I can wholeheartedly encourage those out there considering a cure to go for it!

I can now run, jump, drink coffee and go crazy when the LSU Tigers win the Sugar Bowl. I couldn't do those things pre-maze. Now life is full of possibilities.
