To all who have given me so much encouragement. My husband and I have just returned from Brigham and Woman's Hospital in Boston. We met with Dr. Laurence Epstein, an EP who does ablations. To my and my family's relief and some disappointment it was decided that a change of medication and hospitalization was the first step for me. No PVA, yet.
It seems that in Boston they feel that there are definately two types of AF and I am decidedly vagal. The meds I have been on are not very effective for vagal, so if I can tolerate the new meds, some of which I know you all have tried or are on, I should have far fewer episodes. I hope so. If not, then they will talk about some sort of surgical procedure in my future.
I am willing to try anything at this point. But, and this is a huge "but", I will need to see dramatic improvement in my quality of life. We have another appointment scheduled next month, right now I wait.
My best to you all,
Jeanne
