I can't tell you if it is for you, but it definitely was for me. It's been almost 7 weeks since I had open heart RF ablation at University of Chicago Medical Center, and I'm feeling better every day.
Even during a post-op afib event that started 2 weeks after surgery and lasted 9 days, when I was asked if I still thought the surgery was worth it, I said YES. I figured it was my only option to get back into a healthy enough state to resume the activities I participated in when I was younger. I'm 58, and not ready to give up on life yet! Now I am glad that I haven't had any more afib events, but even if I do, it will still have been worth it to me.
