Carl, all cardiologists and electrophysiologists have told me is: You have afib, pvc,s runs of tachycardia, and bigemy. I'm aware that my heart is in bigemy beats and I'm very much aware when it is in afib. It's disabling when it is also both in afib and pvc at the same time. I have some pvc's that are disabling as well and Dr's say my heart is also in afib, but I don't feel the erratic afib like in what I've always described to the doctors as "full blown" afib along with pvc's. Yes it takes me to my knees or on the floor. I have to sit down immediately, dizzy, lightheaded fainty feeling like I'm going to pass out. Load up on Betapace and Xanax and Norvasc because my blood pressure shoots up to the 190's over 120's. It's a mess, I'm helpless especially alone or around complete strangers. No one near to help me to a bathroom, etc.. That's why it is so debilitating.

Carl, all the cardiologists and electrophysiologists that I have seen recommend is take more medicine. None have ever mentioned an ablation or having maze performed. Oh yes, I have had one EP try to let him do an a/v ablation about four years ago. I declined.

I'm not aware if I have a leaky valve. As recently as December at ER, Dr's claimed everything sounded fine. I'm trying to get the Cardio to schedule an echoelectrocardiogram done. It's not difficult to schedule an appointment with cardio, it's always two or three months later than now to see him or them. I am almost convinced that this 'overdrive' unit in my pacemaker is causing some problems. I have read accounts of four other people who have had heart failure because of it. I have tried for over a week to get in to get the EP or cardio to turn the 'overdrive' thing off. That's what the others did.

And the irregular beats go on and on and on and on...but at least the pacemaker keeps it beating.

Regards,
Glenn Camp
