Rose: You probably need to post more definitive info to get the best response to your posting. EX: What type of ablation is being recommended? AV node? Pulmonary? "Lasso"? Flutter?(which sounds possible, given your high heart rate).
How many has this cardio performed? Success rate?(Ablations have not demonstrated a very good success rate, although in my case, a flutter ablation did help lower the maximum HR I experienced while in AF).
You didn't indicate whether you had been through the drug regimen, what drugs you have or are taking (I hope coumadin/warfarin is one of them) or your age, so this further limits what input you might get from other members here.

If having an evaluation at a facility like the Cleveland Clinic or others is an option to you, it might be a good idea, since you cannot continue to have episodes of such high heart rate for any extended period of time without consequences from either that or the drugs.
