I would really like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, from the bottom of my NSR beating heart.

I have read all the post in the last few days, and have been touched deeply, in different ways by most of them.

I ask everyone to continue to discuss the pro's and con's of the different cures for AF, as we have always done before.
We all know that a cure by any treatment, Maze or Pulmonary Vein Ablation is a wonderful thing. As far as I know, these are the only two proven cures to date, and unless something new is developed, these are the two that need to be discussed on this board. Some of our board members do need to discuss medications, and I did not mean that we shouldn't discuss any thing that is informative to any of our people.

I don't think we need to bring up any more discussions on this boards merits compared to any other board. Most everyone here is aware of Hans Larsen's board, and I see no need to bring it up any more.

As far as the maze not being for LAF patients, is news to me.
I was a LAF only patient, who asked for the maze and was not turned down. The surgeon who did my maze has been doing them since about 1990 and has performed several on LAF patients such as myself. He also does the maze combined with other procedures on patients who need other procedures.

BEST WISHES AND MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

Jack
