I was 5 months post maze, and 2 months off medications when I went into A-Flutter. The doctors at home said it was probably caused by an incomplete scar line. I am on beta pace now, hopefully for a short time, but it is keeping me in NSR. I too was very discouraged when this happened but I feel the healing process is yet to be over and will give it time before I consider any further ablations etc. I didn't take any arythmic drugs because I have had alot of side effects from them post maze. I took mega doses prior to maze of all these drugs and now can't take them without bad side effects.
