Sarah, Jack, Henry and Carl I really do appreciate your feedback. It has and will help me on my continual decision path. As I emailed Henry, I am more concerned about the maze post op with the chronic cough, but after reading Carl's comments, I am seriously considering having the operation completed by Dr McCarthy.
Sarah I do plan on checking out the Toprol and Cardizam, thanks for that bit of info. I have asked my doctors for a medication review concerning the cough, and still zero feedback.
I do have a question or two. Does my prior PVA procedure make the maze surgery any more difficult since 52 ablation were originally made?
I have heard the success rate of the maze procedure drops with people who have rheumatic heart disease?
What is the normal recovery time after the surgery is performed? I know you are not doctors, and that is why I am asking!Again, thanks for your support and feedback.
