Anne,

I can really feel your concerns, as I had very similar concerns: I am on Norpace, too and did pretty well until the months just prior to my procedure. However, I am amazed at how good it feels to be in normal rhythm all the time now that I had the PVI on 10/27 and it has been successful, so far. Many of us on this board have spoken with Michelle Williams-Andrews, assistant to Dr. Natale. I might suggest that you contact the atrial fibrillation team and say that you would like to discuss some concerns about your procedure with Michelle. Offer to fax your questions or email them. She is so very knowledgable and interested in their patients. You could ask for a pre-procedure review of your echo and just see what they say. More communication between you and your doctors is the very best way to arrive at a decision whether to have a procedure or delay.

You are doing the very best thing to raise questions, now, and to get more information.
