I agree with Newman, but only with the caveat that the ablation be performed by someone with documented high success, at a center with the latest tools, like the CC or perhaps The Univ. of Mich., of which I was not aware. There are ablations, and ...there are ablations. Not all are created equal, and the risks inherent to making the wrong choice are MUCH higher than those of the Maze. The short-term "masochistic" discomfort of the maze vs. an ablation is undeniable (but worth it to those who had it).
