Carley, not many cardiologists will recommend that you get the Maze or a PVA. Most will recommend against it. If you want to be cured, you will have to take the initiative.

The point you should do this is when you feel very deeply that you can't live with afib or the associated drugs any longer. Any medical procedure has risks and you must be willing to accept them if you are to be cured. When you would rather risk being cured than suffering with the effects of afib, then you need to be proactive and seek out experienced doctors who successfully perform Maze or PVAs. If you can live with afib a few more years, do so - the cures for afib will only get better and easier.
